Some images look odd here? What is the quality?

We are an "authorized" dealer for over 60 publishers/125 artists. The art choices you see here are coming directly from the copyright publishers, the artists themselves or on older images, from authorized distributors. You would be surprised to learn which professional looking webstores aren't "registered agents". Due to our contracts, we must use measures to prevent downloading & scrunch the images to where they would be "unusable" if gotten. This is why some may look odd. Rest assured these are the truest quality from the root sources. Also note that these agreements often tell us what price ranges we are to charge so you will rarely see "sale" prices except on discontinued items. Lastly on the older images, know what a blessing it is to even have them available in print. Sadly we loose images out of publication every month. You will see some very inexpensive prints of older images here. Often these are the only choices left for those images as newer quality versions cannot be made due to pre-existing copyrights. The only images where we chose our publisher are the vintage (pre-1924) images.

My item shows 2 sizes within same choice box?

Anytime you see 2 sizes listed for a single item choice, the smaller number is the size of the image itself & the larger number is the outside size of the item. If it says "img" between the sizes, then it is a paper print with a white border around the image, bringing it to that total larger size. If it says "mat" between the sizes, then it is a matted item, and the larger size is the outter size of the mat. Either way, that larger number is the size frame it needs, unless on a paper print you are trimming away the border or matting it yourself to an even larger size. If you only see 1 size in the choice then the image goes all the way to the edge. On framed items you may see just 1 size like 16x32 total. This means we dont know the exact image size but are giving you the outside frame dimensions as some publishers are more clear on their descriptions than others. These large frames are usually shipped direct to you from the publisher so often we have not seen them to measure.

Getting Art with/without mat or frame?

Remove a mat or frame?
We do not remove the matting or framing that is listed on the item's choices page as that is the way it comes from the suppplier. If the page does not show the size you want without a mat or frame, then we cannot get it that way. We will always show any plain print choices if also available.

Add a mat or frame?
Its ALWAYS best to have the art framed locally to have your color choice & save shipping costs, however if you are unable to do so or need us because of shipping it as a gift elsewhere, we are glad to help! We are NOT a professional frame shop but do select great matched frames from stores just like you would. To order- 1st make sure the size frame you need is offered on our frames page, then put the frame AND your un-framed image choice into your shopping cart. Please DO NOT forget to also choose "ground" shipping in your cart as its required for all framed items.

Can I choose the color mat or frame?

Again from the answer above, when an item shows a matted or frame choice, it is coming that way from the supplier. None of our publishers offer a choice of mat colors, but do know what they send is beautifully matched to the image and everyone is very pleased. All but 2 of our suppliers provide a double matting (artists Hahlbohm & Cannon). There are a few rare framed that have a choice of either gold or a woodtone (artist Olsen). Most of these already show in our choices. If you are ordering a framed piece that costs over $125 then you can email us about a possible choice as its only these higher range items that may offer this.

I want the image larger/smaller than offered

We will show on each image's choices page all the sizes we have available starting with the smallest (and this varies widely by image). Example: A rare few may only show large framed but if so then thats the only way we have found it from any supplier. Images available in oversized are on it's choices page, either as a choice or noted immediately below them. There are many independent companies offering to make larger prints, but they must also get copyright permissions. Many artists don't or can't allow.

Can plaques be framed?

We have heard from several customers that they have been able to successfully remove the gold border and frame our plaques.

Do you recommend prints, plaques, lithos or canvas?

Since plaques only come with a metallic edge border, they are not as fancy looking as true framed prints, but they do have advantages where they are thickly glossed and almost indestructible with no glass to break. Great for areas of humidity (ie kitchen), high traffic, children or too much sun which can fade prints. Lithos are the old 1950s style cardboard mounted prints. Again no glass and some folks really like this older style, but these are the most suseptible fading or humidity. Many folks prefer paper prints that can be nicely matted and framed under glass. I myself prefer a canvas as I think it is richer looking and no glass reflection, but you cant mat them and they are harder to mount, either by "stretch" mounting around a "backer" frame or very lightly glueing to a backer board. Your final choice really is in how you want the finished product to look and the room conditions where you will display it. I hope this helps!

How nice are the framed prints?

All the supplier's framed versions that we have seen here are gorgeous! Frames are very expensive in themselves and that makes up most of the cost (also see framed shipping charges). Again, look at pricing- A $60 framed item will not be as elegant as a $135 one, but everything on this website is of great value and quality for the money invested. Also please don't forget to choose "Ground" shipping for any framed item.

You have My fav artists- where are his other works?

Being we are an "authorized" dealer for over 60 publishers/125 artists, we can get any artwork in current production from them. We simply do not have room to show them all as it already takes about 15 minutes to enjoy what we show now. Any more and the website would be overwhelming! If you see your artist here but not a certain artwork, just email us to ask! The religious art publishing community is actually pretty small and we know most and talk to them often. As long as Christ is shown in the art you seek, we should know or be able to find out quickly whether it is still available and be able to get it for you. Again just email us for info here Staff@JesusArtUSA.com.
