Explanation of Art Types - All Measurements are in Inches
Art Prints	from thin to thick paper, use price as guideline, put behind glass
Lithos	thin stiff mounted, slight textured surface, semi-gloss, dont need glass
Plaques	thick hard mount, flat hard gloss surface, thin metal border frame
Matted Art	only if offered, all matched double matting (except #361) put behind glass
Framed Art	only if offered, pre-matched wood, silver or gold from supplier only
Giclee	highest quality paper print, 100 year inks, See full Info put behind glass
Canvas	canvas transfer, standard printing on canvas, dont use glass
Canvas Giclee	Canvas with Giclee printing, museum quality, See Here dont use glass

Getting Art with/without mat or frame?

We do not add (or remove) matting or framing as we are not a frame shop. We are an art gallery/store only. Choices listed are direct from the suppliers. If we do not show the size you want without a mat or frame, then we can not get it that way. If you need something matted or framed, its usually cheaper to get that done locally and you get to pick out just what you want. But if you prefer, we have a quality local framer who will give you a quote. Due to this special order situation, this art would be non-returnable unless damaged in shipment. Email us for info

I want the image larger/smaller than offered

We will show on each image's choices page all the sizes we have available starting with the smallest (and this varies widely by image). Example: A rare few may only show large framed but if so then thats the only way we have found it from any supplier. Images available in oversized are shown on the XLarge page and also on each image's choices page either as a choice or noted immediately below choices. There are many independent companies offering to make larger prints, but they must also get copyright permissions (2 are listed on XLarge page). Many artists don't allow. Can plaques be framed?

We have heard from several customers that they have been able to successfully remove the gold border and frame our plaques.

Do you recommend prints or plaques?

Plaques have the advantage that they are thickly glossed and almost indestructible. Great for areas of humidity (ie kitchen), high traffic, children or too much sun which can fade prints. Excluding those situations, most folks prefer prints that can be nicely framed and mounted under glass.

How nice are the framed prints?

We only started offering the supplier's framed versions a year ago and all those that have come through are gorgeous! Frames are very expensive in themselves and that makes up most of the cost. (also see shipping section as there is an added charge) The images within have been a better quality with a more linen look than the smaller prints. Again, look at pricing. A $60 framed item will not be as elegant as a $135 one, but everything on this website is of great value and quality for the money invested. Also any art here is returnable within 2 weeks of receiving (less shipping), but we havent had one yet for quality so that in itself says much!
